New pull test and compression test for Storz couplings April 23rd, 2013 |
|
| A storz coupling is a quarter turn internal lug coupling, easy to connect to each other by the force of lugs which are on the inside of the couplings. According to a latest pulling test performed in our laboratory, we have managed to develop the reinforced storz couplings made of forged aluminum. It endures up to 10 tons of weight and is not torn apart till the pulling forces gets as high as 47.30 kN. |

Material grade of polypropylene couplings April 20th, 2013 |
|
| Cam & Groove couplings are stated in the US Military Specification Mil-C-27487 as available of material Polypropylene, but without clear indication what compound is supposed to apply to meet physical and chemical resistance. We have done multiple testings on different combinations and come up with a quality-promising as well as cost-efficient way to insert 25~30% fiberglass to reinforce the Poly structure. |

Comparison between casted and forged couplings April 18th, 2013 |
|
| The mechanical strength and integrity of casted Storz couplings, which are majorly used in low-pressure industrial applications, is far worse than the quality of forged Storz couplings. Therefore, for safety reasons, we recommend and apply forging techniques for demanding uses of DIN Storz couplings esp. in fire-fighting. See illustration of comparison between casted and forged couplings. |

| Investment casting (known as lost-wax casting in art) is a process that has been practised for thousands of years, with the lost-wax process being one of the oldest known metal forming techniques. 1. Prior to wax pattern making, we produce a master pattern: our mould-maker creates an original pattern from wax (clay, wood, plastic, steel, or another material). 2. Produce the wax patterns: Wax patterns may be produced in one of two ways. |

| Gravity Casting, or Gravity die casting, uses the force of gravity, to fill a permanent mold (or die), with molten material. It is a process where in the liquid metal is poured into metallic molds without application of any external pressure. 1. To begin the process, a cast iron mold capable of producing tens of thousands of castings must be made in at least two sections to permit removal of castings. 2. To begin the casting cycle, the die caster clamps the two die halves tightly together. |

| Forging is the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. Forging is often classified according to the temperature at which it is performed: "cold," "warm," or "hot" forging. Production forging involves significant capital expenditure for machinery, tooling, facilities and personnel. Our "TW" couplings are produced by open-die hot drop forging. We are very careful with raw material source. Chemical compound of every batch must be tested and proven to meet order requirements. |
